Plan 51：Bottom of sealed cavity is sealed, and the outer container provides sealing liquid.

Plan 52： provide buffer to pressureless double mechanical seal through an external reservoir. During normal operation, circulation is maintained by pumping ring. The accumulator usually continuously discharges gas to an exhaust gas recovery system, whose pressure of is lower than that of the liquid in the sealed cavity.

Plan 53： provide a barrier fluid to the pressurized double mechanical seal through an external reservoir. During normal operation, circulation is maintained by the pumping ring. The pressure of the reservoir is higher than that of the liquid in the sealed cavity.A typical example is a  pressurized double mechanical seal.

Plan 61： sealing gland is equipped with threaded joints, which are plugged at the factory for the buyer's use. A typical example is the liquid (such as steam, gas, water, etc.) of the auxiliary sealing device provided by the buyer.

Plan 62：use externally supplied liquid for quenching to prevent solids from accumulating on the atmospheric side. A typical example is to use a throttle bushing with a small gap.

Note: For vertical pumps, in addition to using Plan 13, other single and double mechanical seals can be equipped with quench-type auxiliary sealing devices.
