Description
AS-CHS10 is to replace Chesterton S10 Single Cartridge Mechanical Seal. This  type mechanical seal is engineered to meet the majority of plant-wide applications with excellent reliability. All wearing parts are contained in a single, replaceable cartridge unit with a common, universal gland. Repairs involve only an exchange of cassettes.

Background Knowledge：
Shaft sleeve and gland are indispensable parts of cartridge mechanical seal, through which all mechanical seal parts can be combined. Gland can be connected with the body. When temperature of material is too high or too low and it needs to be flushed, gland can be processed to have flushing holes to meet the needs of the process.Set screw is also very important. It is the main part to overcome friction between rotary face and stationary seat. When the mechanical seal needs to be flushed, you can choose 318A gland with flushing hole, because there are four gland bolts, and meet the requirements of API standards.

Cartridge mechanical seal is assembled in clean environment provided by the seal manufacturer. Skilled and correct combination can ensure assembly quality; reasonable spring compression and rubber O-ring deformation can ensure reliability of the seal;The overall air tightness test  carried out before leaving the factory ensures reliability of the seal.
