The technology of mechanical seals has changed from empirical design to theoretical system design

Empirical design (P or PU value) is a traditional design method. According to empirical knowledge, the geometric parameters  and the spring specific pressure of the mechanical seal are determined, and the contact pressure, line speed, friction power consumption, and flushing amount of the mechanical seal end faces are designed in turn. The corresponding auxiliary system is determined; computer-aided design is mainly limited to the drawing of sealing parts. 

The theoretical system design (P-U-T-H-T) is based on the computer as a tool, according to the specific process conditions, using a complete professional database and professional software to perform performance analysis, dynamic simulation, structural optimization, and parametric design of the mechanical seal to achieve reasonable，accurate and fast designs to meet the needs of professional and large-scale production of mechanical seals.
