Submersible pump is a new type of oil production equipment that has appeared in recent years.It is suitable for occasions such as large displacement (8000m3/d), ultra-deep wells (3000m) and inclined wells in offshore oil fields.

The mechanical seal for submersible pump is to dive into the oil layer of thousands of meters from the casing of the oil well to seal the three-phase mixture of oil, water and gas.

Since the cost of going down and lifting the well once is tens of thousands of yuan and affects oil production, the mechanical seal is required to have a reliable life and sealing function: the leakage volume is not more than 0.11mL/h, and the life is more than 1.5 years.

Its operating conditions are roughly as follows: the sealed medium contains hydrogen sulfide and other corrosive components and oil, water and gas containing sediment particles; pressure 0.7-1.20MPa (absolute pressure); temperature 50~120℃: ; speed 2950r/ min.

The typical mechanical seal used in the submersible pump is a three-stage rubber bellows type mechanical seal, the upper part is a single mechanical seal, and the lower part is a double mechanical seal.

Its structural feature is that the oil well pressure is transmitted to each cavity through the intermediate medium through the auxiliary sealing device. The oil well pressure is in the first cavity, and the oil well pressure is first transmitted to the inert fluorine oil in the O-shaped cavity, and then the pressure is transmitted to the lubricating cavity (the second and third cavity and the fourth cavity of the motor and bearing) through the fluorine oil.
