What should be paid attention to when repairing the mechanical seal?

①Avoid leakage due to loose parts, and pay attention to the heating phenomenon caused by impurities entering the end faces of the mechanical seal and whether there is any abnormal noise during operation. For pumps running continuously, attention should be paid to preventing dry friction both  when being started up & during operation.If necessary, set an automatic device to prevent pump evacuation.For the pump running intermittently, attention should be paid to the crystals formed due to drying of the material after the pump is stopped, or the crystals precipitated by cooling. When the pump is started, heating or flushing measures should be taken to prevent the crystals from scratching the end face and affecting the sealing effect of the mechanical seal.

②Whether the circulating protection systems and instruments such as flushing and cooling work normally and stably. It is necessary to pay attention to the failure of cooling due to sudden water stoppage, resulting in seal failure, or accidents due to blockage of cooling pipes, flushing pipes, and pressure equalizing pipes.

③The vibration, heat and other factors of the centrifugal pump itself will also affect the sealing performance of the mechanical seal , which must be observed frequently. When the bearing part is damaged, it will also affect the sealing performance, so pay attention to whether the bearing is hot and whether the sound is abnormal during operation, so that it can be repaired in time
