The role of containerized mechanical seals in pumps

Function 1: Achieve"zero errors"in installation (the core value)
Traditional non containerized seals require dozens of scattered parts to be sent to the site, all assembled by experienced maintenance technicians. The spring is prone to burning out when compressed, leaks when compressed loosely, and breaks after a few days of misalignment. When the containerized seal leaves the factory, all positions have been fixed with clips. During installation, the pump shaft is fully fitted, several screws are tightened, and the positioning clip is pulled out to automatically obtain a 100% correct installation state. Its function is to transform the reliability of the seal from relying on human craftsmanship to relying on product design.

Function 2: Make it possible to handle"dirty media"(key to prolonging lifespan)
If the pump is pumping sewage, slurry or liquid that is prone to crystallization containing sediment, these solid particles, once drilled into the sealing surface, can polish the"mirror"within a few hours. One important design function of the containerized seal is its built-in flushing and cooling interface. You can draw a clean liquid from the high-pressure area of the pump, forcefully wash away particles near the sealing surface, and take away frictional heat. In this way, the working environment of the sealing surface is actively purified, and the lifespan is extended from a few days to six months or even more than a year.

Function 3: Provide"thermal buffering"protection for the sealing surface (preventing explosion)
At the moment of pump start-up, the sealing surface has not yet been lubricated by liquid, resulting in dry friction heat. Immediately after catching a cold, the temperature difference impact can easily cause the hard alloy sealing ring to crack (this is called thermal shock). The container sealed chamber has a large volume and can be filled with coolant in advance. For example, a"thermal buffer cover"is placed on the sealing surface to keep it immersed in the liquid during startup, avoiding brittle fracture caused by sudden cooling and heating.
