1. Feature

• The double end structure is easy to install, and the balanced seal with the same structure is used on the medium side and the atmosphere side
• The multi spring structure ensures uniform force distribution on the sealing end face, good axial compensation performance, and no contact between the spring and the medium, making it suitable for various corrosive media

4.Background

Mechanical seals for kettles are mainly used for sealing the stirring shafts of various chemical equipment such as reaction kettles and stirring kettles. Typical application scenarios are as follows:
 

a. Conventional chemical production field
Widely used in the sealing of reaction kettle agitators in PTA, polyethylene, and polypropylene production plants, mechanical seals account for 63.4% of large kettle agitators, while only low-power and small tank agitators use packing seals.
Due to the large mixing shaft length of up to 7-8 meters, even with bottom support, the shaft swing is still large, and traditional packing seals cannot meet the sealing requirements. Mechanical seals for kettles can effectively solve the leakage problem.
 

b. High risk/special medium working conditions
Suitable for reaction processes involving flammable, explosive, toxic, and highly corrosive media, this type of scenario requires extremely high leakage control requirements. Typically, a mechanical seal and circulation protection system for double end kettles are used, which achieves dual sealing by introducing isolation liquid to meet safety and environmental protection requirements
Typical applications include chlorination reaction vessels, toxic intermediate synthesis reaction vessels, etc.
