4. Background

Single acting seal is a common form of seal, mainly used to prevent the leakage of fluid media through the gap between the rotating shaft and the stationary part. Its role is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
a. Prevent media leakage
The core role of a single-end mechanical seal is to prevent the media from leaking through the sealing surface. It forms an extremely thin layer of liquid film through a tight fit between the dynamic and static rings, thus effectively preventing the media from leaking through the sealing surface.
