The metal bellow seal achieves sealing by forming a stable liquid film on the end faces of the moving and stationary rings through the elastic deformation of the bellows. The core is to use the compensating ability of the bellows to adapt to changes in working conditions and maintain sealing pressure.
1. Overview of Core Principles
The metal bellow seal uses bellows as the core elastic element, relying on its ability to expand and contract, to tightly fit the sealing end faces of the moving ring and the stationary ring. Under the combined action of fluid pressure and corrugated tube elasticity, an extremely thin liquid film is formed between the end faces, which not only provides lubrication but also prevents medium leakage. When the shaft rotates or there is vibration or deviation, the corrugated tube can adaptively adjust to ensure continuous adhesion of the sealing surface.
