1. Material selection
Soft hard combination: When selecting friction pair materials, a combination of one hard and one soft material is usually used. This combination can prevent the dynamic ring from getting stuck in the soft ring during grinding, which can cause the sealing surface to peel off or experience strong wear.
High performance materials: Choose materials that are wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and have good fatigue resistance, such as silicon carbide, alumina ceramics, etc., which can improve the service life of the sealing ring.
2. Structural design
End face geometry optimization: By improving the geometry and surface roughness of the sealing end face, friction resistance is reduced and energy consumption is lowered. Meanwhile, improving the precision of end face machining can also help reduce the possibility of leakage.
