The containerized mechanical seal device is a shaft seal device that relies on a pair or several pairs of end faces that slide relative to the shaft and are held in contact under the action of fluid pressure and the elastic force (or magnetic force) of the compensation mechanism to assist in sealing and achieve leakage prevention. It is a shaft seal device for rotating machinery. In relevant national standards, mechanical seals (including containerized seals) are defined as"devices that prevent fluid leakage by holding and sliding relative to at least one pair of end faces perpendicular to the rotation axis under the action of fluid pressure and compensation mechanism elasticity (or magnetic force), as well as auxiliary seals.
Common structures of containerized mechanical seals
The commonly used mechanical seal structure consists of a stationary ring, a rotating ring, an elastic element spring seat, a set screw, a rotating ring auxiliary sealing ring, and a stationary ring auxiliary sealing ring. The anti rotation pin is fixed on the cover to prevent the stationary ring from rotating. The rotating ring and stationary ring can often be referred to as compensating rings or non compensating rings depending on whether they have axial compensation capability. The shaft sleeve and gland are unique components of the containerized machine seal, which can be used to combine all the machine seal parts together. The gland can also be connected to the machine body.
