The whole mechanical seal device is composed of main seal, secondary seal and auxiliary system. The main seal plays the role of sealing the working medium, the secondary seal plays the auxiliary role  , and the auxiliary system mainly provides a good surrounding environment for the main and secondary seals and ensures that the main seal works under the best working conditions.

The auxiliary system can include pressure control, temperature control, air and contamination removal, and fluid replacement (blocking) system. The choice of auxiliary system mainly depends on the scope of use of the main seal. For example, if the main seal is used for high-temperature liquid, the auxiliary system's main task is  to ensure that the ambient temperature of the main seal is reduced to a suitable degree, that is, a temperature control system is applied. If the main seal is used for a working medium with much solid impurity, the auxiliary system's main task is to ensure that the solid impurity content is reduced before entering the main seal, that is, an impurity removal system is used. In corrosive media, the auxiliary system's main task is to ensure that  the corrosion rate of the medium is reduced or corrosion of the medium is  eliminated before its entering  the main seal, that is, the fluid blocking system is applied. In the high-pressure sealing device, the auxiliary system's main task is to  ensure multi-stage decompression and other measures, that is, the pressure control system should be used.

In short, the use of the sealing system can improve the surrounding environment and create good working conditions for the main seal, so that the entire mechanical seal device can achieve the object of  zero medium escape. Thus, the reliability of the sealing can be ensured and  the sealing life of the mechanical seal can be prolonged.
