Various loads act on the rotary face and stationary seat of the mechanical seal.These loads can be divided into two types of forces: one is the closing force and the other is the opening force. It is because of the existence of these two forces that the force balance of the sealing end face can be maintained. The axial force balance analysis of the mechanical seal is carried out below, and the axial force of the friction pair is shown in the figure below.
