What deformation forms of the sealing ring does  mechanical seal have

The deformation of the sealing ring of the mechanical seal has mechanical deformation, thermal deformation and residual deformation. Due to the deformation, the rotary face & stationary seat will find uneven wear on the end faces in actual use, some wear more on the inner diameter, and some wear more on the outer diameter. This phenomenon is caused by the deformation of the sealing ring due to uneven temperature distribution or uneven pressure acting on the ring.

Due to the existence of various forces and thermal deformation, the gap of the sealing end faces of the mechanical seal may present five models: parallel plane gap, convergence gap, diffusion gap, convergence-diffusion gap and diffusion-convergence gap. The corresponding deformation forms are: twisting mechanical force deformation, compression (mechanical and deformation), bending mechanical (force) deformation, torsion, compression and extension, twisting temperature (thermal) deformation, etc.
