Description：
AS-BJ09 metal bellow mechanical seal is to replace Johncrane seals of Type 609. This type is high temperature (to 425°C/800°F) and high pressure seal intended for demanding applications where a dependable, high-strength, rotating seal is preferred.
This type is ideal for heat transfer, hydrocarbon and other applications that commonly use pumps with limited seal chamber clearances，for it has a narrow cross-section design.

Characteristics of metal bellow mechanical seals
1. Metal bellows can withstand high temperature.Traditional mechanical seals cannot be used at high temperatures because of material limitations. Specifically, material of auxiliary sealing ring is polytetrafluoroethylene whose service temperature cannot exceed 200°C. This limitation makes traditional mechanical seals unable to meet sealing requirements of high-temperature pumps. Although sealing ring made of flexible graphite can withstand high temperatures, it is easy for it to be damaged due to its low strength.
2. Bellow type mechanical seals have good sealing performance. In metal bellow mechanical seal, sliding structure of auxiliary sealing ring is transformed into static sealing structure, which eliminates a dynamic sealing point and hysteresis caused by sliding of auxiliary sealing ring. Thus better using effect than spring type mechanical seal occurs.
