Welded metal bellow mechanical seal has good floatability and random compensation, which can compensate for gap caused by sealing ring due to wear, axial movement and/or vibration. Compared with ordinary mechanical seals, its service life has also been greatly improved, so it has a higher cost-performance ratio.

Welded metal bellows itself serves as both an elastic element and a sealing element, so there is no need to design a dynamic auxiliary sealing ring of general spring type mechanical seal, thereby avoiding three problems caused by dynamic auxiliary sealing ring: problem of fine particle blocking ,problem of no resistance to high temperature of petrochemical industry, and probilem of producing frictional resistance and reducing sealing compensation ability. In addition, it can get rid of a leakage point caused by existence of auxiliary sealing ring.

Welded metal bellows can be made of precipitation hardening stainless steel, high-temperature nickel-based materials and chromium-nickel corrosion-resistant materials and analogous meterials. Therefore, welded metal bellows can be used in a wide range of temperatures (-117℃-426℃), and in various acid, alkali, and salt media.

For welded metal bellows，different wave plate thickness and number of layers can be selected to withstand pressure up to about 7 MPa in a special pump.

Design of welded metal bellow mechanical seal is generally balanced, so its bearing pressure has little effect on the end surface specific pressure. Welded metal bellow mechanical seal is not only suitable for non-hydrocarbon media, but also for flashing hydrocarbon media.

Welded metal bellows is formed by inner and outer diameters of each wave plate interlaced and tightly welded, so there is no need to consider direction of rotation.
