This time, I chose year 2011 when my own company Asinoseal was established. With infinite curiosity, I walked into a building with the words "Asinosealing Tech Co., Ltd" written in Chinese on it.
I saw some red fire helmets hanging at the door, and heard the roar of the machines coming from the workshop on the first floor. I decided to start "exploring" this mechanical seal manufacturing company——my own company in 2011in the sequence of the third floor, the second floor and the first floor.
On the third floor, I saw many smiling ladies at work. There were either dense-looking forms or typed dialogues with pictures on their computers. The ladies with the biggest smiles were making calls in English, and another one I was taking out several bags of rings from the cabinet before putting them on the table and taking a video by her cellphone. On the ladies' desks, the objects I saw were very feminine making the periodicals of "Lubrication and Sealing" were particularly eye-catching. Turning around two offices, I saw a man concentrating on the moving mechanical parts image on his computer, and I recognized he was making mechanical seal drawings. On the small table next to him there were books such as 《Principles and Design of Mechanical Seals"》and 《Practical Technology of Mechanical Seals》, as well as a box with a DHL waybill on it (I knew it was a sent sample). There were also two offices that seemed to be managers' rooms. The furnishings were very simple and elegant, except for some bright red gift boxes with the pattern of good harvests painted on the floor of one of them. Somehow, I actually knew that these gift boxes were employee benefits. At the end of the corridor there was a small sample showroom and a spacious conference room.

After visiting the third floor, I came to the second floor, where I saw a “Warehouse” writing on the gate couplet. The first thing that caught the eye was a red crane, which gently placed the hoisted mechanical seal in the wooden box waiting with its mouth open, and immediately a pile of new foam materials were stuffed into the wooden box. A well-built girl was directing all this while recording something in a small notebook. Then she sat down and joined the other two girls who were packing boxes. The blade skillfully cut out a series of openings on the foam materials, and small-sized mechanical seals wrapped in white boxes were stuffed into large and small cardboard boxes. Finally, the cardboard boxes were sealed tightly with tape and placed on the trailers. I was attracted by this busy but orderly working atmosphere, so I carefully looked at this long hall-like room.
I saw piles of mechanical seal parts placed on the long workbench, and a group of ladies wearing gloves were skillfully assembling them. A pair of mechanical seals with a shaft diameter of about 120mm were erecting or lying on the assembly table next to them. A lot of completed or unfinished mechanical seals were placed in Various blue containers placed on the ground. The wind blew off a few pages of paper. I picked them up and saw that they were printed "Static Pressure Test Record" and "Operation Test Record". I thought of the piles of documents stamped with red seal in the manager's office, they read "Technical Operation Instructions", "Operation Rules of Quality Record Forms " and the like. At the base of the wall near the door, stacks of cardboard boxes and wooden boxes were neatly stacked, and they were waiting for DHL or Fedex trucks to take them away.
I came to the stairs at the back, and a big man was busy in the grinding room. There was a flat crystal detector on the table near the door, and safety operation instructions were posted on the wall. I decided to bypass this room and go to the workshop on the first floor. The machines in the workshop were roughly divided into three rows. The north row is ordinary lathes, the middle row was CNC lathes and machining centers, and the south row is fitter equipment for finishing. I was staring at the "Safe Production 262 Days" sign hanging above the water dispenser in the corner, only to find that there was a door next to it. When I walked in, a girl was measuring the size of the metal parts of the mechanical seal with a vernier caliper. On the shelves in the room batches of metal parts of mechanical seals were placed, and their corresponding drawings were pressed underneath one of them.
After watching for so long time, I felt a little tired, so I decided to end my journey viewing historic images of mechanical seals and returned to My December, 2022.
