The mechanical seal leaks, and the sfriction pair wears too littleto be measured.
Cause Analysis
From the wear image of comprehensive contact of the mechanical seal sealing surfaces, the ring belt of the soft ring is narrower than that of the hard ring, the wear width on the sealing surface of the hard ring is equal to the width of the soft (narrow) ring, and there is slight or no obvious wear on one ring. Sometimes the worn surface is so smooth that there is only slight deformation for interferometric inspection.
Solution
1. Check whether the auxiliary seal of the mechanical seal is damaged or scratched during installation. If so, check that the mounting chamfer is normal and replace with a new seal after deburring.
2. Check the auxiliary seal for pores, thermal damage and chemical corrosion.
3. Check the compression deformation of the O-ring.
4. Check the mechanical seal floatability.
