Background Knowledge:
Structure and installation of split mechanical seals 
The split mechanical seal is basically a circumferentially split or multi-petal ring  ring （including  spring holder，rotary  face  supporter、rotary  face 、stationary  seat、stationary  seat  supporter、stationary seat holder）connected  by  plug  pins  or  enclosed  by  shroud springs to  form  a  whole，and  matched  with  opening  sealing  rings  and  elastic elements. 
Except there are split surfaces, its working principle and structure are the same as those of ordinary mechanical seals. 
Installation of split mechanical seals does not require disassembly of pumps or couplings, which is convenient and quick, and requires a short downtime.
During installation, first place the assembly tool on the shaft and hoop it with shroud springs to form a whole, and then place the rotary  face  supporter, the rotary  face , the stationary  seat  and the stationary seat supporter on the shaft and connect them with the plug pins before setting the buckle or socket sealing ring on the rotary face and stationary seat.After that use the assembly tool to insert the rotary face and the stationary seat into the rotary face supporter and the stationary seat supporter respectively.The next move is to put the spring holder and the stationary ring holder on the shaft respectively and connect them, place a small spring between the spring holder and the rotary face, and install the buckle between the rotary face supporter and the shaft, and between the stationary seat and its holder.
