How should the methods of cooling——a kind of temperature adjustment of auxiliary facilities of mechanical seal be determined

Cooling is an important part of temperature adjustment facilities, and it is an auxiliary facility often used by mechanical seals. It has a great effect on timely deriving the frictional heat of mechanical seals and reducing the impact of high-temperature media. What kind of cooling method to adopt depends on the working temperature and the nature of the medium. At present, there are no regulations in this regard in China. Here is a foreign cooling method, which is shown in the figure 1 below for reference.
The cooler used for self-flushing is generally a coil type. The inside of the tube is the cooled medium, and the outside of the tube is cooling water. The cooling area is generally less than 1㎡. During use, the flow of the fluid to be cooled must be controlled to meet the flushing requirements, not too much. Otherwise, if there is too much high-temperature fluid, the surface temperature of the cooling tube will be too high, and scale will form quickly, so the tube bundle has to be replaced.
 Examples of cooler applications are given in figure 2 below. Coolers also use air coolers, which are less used because of their larger volume. However, this method avoids the disadvantage of scaling of the cooler. If it can improve the cooling effect and reduce the volume, it will be a promising cooler.
