Principles for selecting auxiliary devices for mechanical seals for agitators

The applicable temperature of the mechanical seal for agitators refers to the temperature of the medium in the seal cavity. When the temperature of the medium in the agitator is higher than the applicable temperature of the mechanical seal, measures should be taken to add auxiliary devices - circulation protection systems, balance tanks, thermostats, etc. to carry out lubrication and cooling.
The selection principles for agitator mechanical seal auxiliary devices are as follows: (1) For single mechanical seal, the principle of selecting auxiliary devices according to the medium temperature in the agitator is shown in the table below.

(2)In principle, double mechanical seals should be equipped with auxiliary devices to ensure that the pressure of the sealing fluid is always within the range of 0.05~0.10MPa higher than the working pressure in the agitator. The principles for selecting auxiliary devices according to the working pressure and medium temperature in the agitator are shown in the table below.
(3)The cooling water outlet temperature should be ≤60°C.
