Recently, a piece of news with its headline "When there is no road, we are the road!" has caught my attention. In an earthquake, the rescuers transferred the trapped people one by one. Unexpectedly, when the paralyzed old man was being transferred, the road was cut off, and several firefighters immediately lay down on the mountainous ground to form a life passage, allowing the old man to safely evacuate from the danger zone.
Just a few hundred words once again made me feel the warmth (humanistic feelings) that can be seen everywhere among Chinese people. As Gu Hongming, a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, said in his article "The Spirit of the Chinese", the character of the Chinese nation is gentle (gentle and kind, but not cowardly). Below I try to give a few examples to illustrate.
1.There is an old saying in China called "a distant relative is not as good as a close neighbor", which refers to how people in the same regions help each other. In fact, this precious quality between people is not limited to neighbors. Otherwise, how could there be those idioms & verses "one party is in trouble, all parties support", "Respect the elderly in my family and extend your respect to the elderly in other families" "Love the children in your own family and extend the love to the children in other families" in group discourse occuring every few minute since ancient times？
2.There is a TV program in China called "Moved China". As the name suggests, this program launched every February will use various voting methods to select the most impressive and touching characters and teams of the year. Among them, there are all kinds of celebrities and ordinary people with deep Sincerity,diligence & loyality: The people's teacher who have worked so hard that almostly vomited his heart out in the education field，the filial son who served his stroke mother with the spirit of "lying on the ice to beg for carp" for ten years, The "sanitation worker" who have silently & voluntarily served for decades in cleaning the public toilet, and the angels in white who have spent sleepless nights fighting on the front line of the epidemic...Their names may briefly flash across the sky of public opinion like meteors, but their deeds all shine with the conscience and great love of the Chinese people.
This is true for individuals in society, and so is for enterprises. The Hongxing Erke donation incident that was raging before is another example. Let us review it again: Looking at the donation records of Hongxing Erke over the years, Hongxing Erke has never been absent every time there is a catastrophe in the country.
