If the mechanical seal vibrates too much, it will eventually lead to seal failure. However, the reasons for the large vibration of the mechanical seal are not all due to the mechanical seal itself. Other parts of the reactor are also the source of vibration, such as unreasonable shaft design, processing reasons, insufficient bearing accuracy, and parallelism of the coupling. Poor degree, large radial force and other reasons.

When installing the shaft, sealing cavity and mechanical seal itself, they should be cleaned to prevent impurities from entering the sealing installation part. And it must be ensured to rationally design the balance device of axial force, so that the axial movement of the rotor of the equipment installed with mechanical seals is ≤0.3mm, and the axial movement is eliminated.

Daily maintenance of the mechanical seal of the reactor
The mechanical seal coolant is checked once every shift, if the quantity is not enough, add coolant to about 2/3 of the oil pan height, and replace the coolant once a month. And corresponding records should be made.
